30 Days of Scans Daily: Favorite Villain - Bullseye

So through-out the current Punisher Max arc we've had this even more terrifying version of Bullseye who kills innocent families just so he try and get a better glimpse inside of Frank's head. For most of the arc the closest thing Bullseye's shown to a humanizing trait is his obvious Man-crush on Frank.

Then in issue #9 we get this confrontation between Vanessa Fisk and Bullseye.

I ADORE this scene. Bullseye had only a little actual character before this and then.... That. Awesome.

I've always liked Bullseye, but dear lord, I absolutely adore this version. I don't think I've ever quite seen a character like this. The closest is Deadpool, but even he doesn't quite match up to what Aaron is doing with Bullseye here. He's quickly becoming a favorite character of mine, and I wonder what else could be done with him if he even survives this storyline.

I'm not hooked, but I will admit that it's at least giving him the beginnings of being a real character, rather than "killing machine that kills and kills and then kills some more."

His smile in this style freaks the shit out of me, and it's absolutely perfect for his character :) Yeah I like this version too.

I love Bullseye and I LOVE this scene. He is so fabulously crazy in Punisher max - it's one of my favourite Bullseye things ever. :)

It's not bullshit. He does put a bit of detail into the closeups, which is nice; in them, Vanessa doesn't look like a teenager with a couple of white streaks, as she does in the last panel.

I just wish he'd grow his hair back. Too many shaved heads on Marvel supervillians lately and it makes them all look alike. And he's a natuaral blond who would look instantly better.

I still don't see why they even called this guy Bullseye. Other than profession and the tattoo on his forehead he has nothing in common with his 616 counterpart.

Don't get me wrong I like this guy. He's a great villian even better than normal Bullseye in some ways but he just doesn't seem at all Bullseye like to me.

That's basically it.

Considering how not every Marvel Max character is a strict copy of the regular Marvel universe counterpart, Nick Fury is a veteran and very powerful secret serviceman, but has no access to robot duplicates or flying aircraft carriers, for example.

KingpinMax has to use his own wits to get to the top of the foodchain, without having to use magic ninjas or get into fistfights with blind lawyers, as another example.

Personality wise though Nick Fury and Willian Fisk of the MAX verse are similar to their 616 counterparts. Their human elements are the same they just lack the superhuman elements.

This Bullseye acts and thinks nothing like the 616 Bullseye.
