Oliver queen and hal jordan. The more I seen scans of them here. I stated to get used to the characters and hate the men less.

Oh, god... DC Universe Decisions. In which we learn about what stupidity goes through the DCU when writers want to get explicitly political. It was such a flop that I don't even think my local comics shop even picked up the last two issues.

I mean, POWER GIRL VOTES REPUBLICAN! I don't read comics for crap like this!

This was honestly a highlight for me.

Growing up, I was more or less "Meh" over Hal, and actively disliked what a sanctimonious git Ollie was. Nothing about their characters ever since has caused me to changed those opinions.

Well, I've always liked the two characters, although not necessarily being a big fan of Ollie. Then again, my first exposure to them was through the Green Lantern/Green Arrow series so I have little to no clue what they were like post-Crisis or anything.

The first time I was exposed to Green Lantern was through the Justice League cartoon. You have no idea how disappointed I was to learn that in the comics, Green Lantern was a white guy. I eventually warmed up to Kyle, but the sense of betrayal mounted when Hal came back.

Yay! Hal's been in retro's Top 10 List of Favorite Superheroes forever. Ollie ... well, I like him. He's always seemed to be Batman-Lite with extra abrasiveness. Barry/Hal > Ollie/Hal

Been a while since I made an icon.

XD You know, Ollie, Barry and I never have this problem.

You are as always worthy of your name. And as ever in retro's List of Arch-Foes. :)

You can judge someone by the quality of their enemies.... I'm not sure if that says more about you or me! :)

No, not really. I was just pointing out that while I like to read about Peej beating up bad guys, I really don't want to know what Karen Starr votes for when it's election time. That's what I was trying to say.

Bruce Wayne grandstanding and openly endorsing a candidate after Superman pretty much said, "I'm staying out of this one, I'm not saying who I would vote for" in front of him. THAT'S what I was trying to say.

I purchased the entire series not because of the high quality (I knew it was going to be bad) but for the likely few moments of unintentional hilarity it was bound to have. And it didn't disappoint.

I've always loved the bromance in these particular pages. They fight because they love!

And yes I'm an Ollie fan, though not when he's being a douche, which, I admit, is a lot. But I like that he chooses to be involved, rather than sitting in the Watchtower, monitoring the Metaverse and indulging in philosophy. Or maybe it's just that I dig Dinah, I dunno...

Imagine how Hal fans felt in the 90's then. Not to mention John Stewart fans, since they got rid of BOTH to make room for Kyle as the One And Only GL.

Yeah, that is problematic. At least John/Kyle weren’t dragged through the mud on their way to obscurity.
