You're right about the Ted Kord thing. I hadn't thought about it. But not only did ALMOST everyone in the DCU take a crap on him during the Infinite Crisis issue (where no would believe him, help him) and not only was she shot in the head and then his body incinerated into nothing on the orders of someone he trusted but he never got with the "love of his life" (according to Booster) because she was more interested in the hunkier younger man that every other DCU woman also drools over rather than him - aka one of the most brilliant minds in the whole super-hero community and a self-made multi-millionaire?

Could DC done more to make Ted seem like a loser?
