The publisher is also preparing for the 50th Anniversary of the series next year.

Please give us a 1961 Fantastic Four story drawn by this artist (Paolo Rivera) or Phil Noto. Reed looks a lot like Eaglesham's version of him (based on the original Kirby, I know)
Apparently, there will be many variants with the Fantastic Four through the ages.

Lovely

And, there's other big news on the Vertigo Panel that will appeal to fucking nobody but me as Bryan Wood takes a leaf out of the Ocean's 11 book of naming sequels

Sadly, this won't be another digest sized TPB, but a four issue mini series. I might just trade wait for this one.

FF x Mad Men. I love it. I can imagine Jon Hamm as Reed and January Jones as Sue.

Wasn't that kind of what they'd wanted to with the FF movie? Have Peyton Reed direct it and set it in the 60s?

I believe the original intent was to make it a 1960's period piece, and how much more fun would THAT have been that what we ended up with? (The correct answer is A LOT!)

Michael Chabon made a similar pitch.

There's a take on the Fantastic Four in a trade called "Fantastic Four: Unstable Molecules" that is straight up that concept. It's actually a bit dark, but I dig it.

Enjoyed the original New York Four and wasn't expecting to see the characters again, so that's a nice surprise.

Yeah, I know something was planned, but assumed it had died in the water when Mix was folded.

Because a very tall young friend of mine has asked me to find out, who exactly is Jon Hamm?

That is a great picture of the Fantastic Four - I particularly love Johnny's grin and relaxed sprawl. I also like the small details such like Johnny playing with a flame on his finger and the pattern on his and Reed's socks. :D.

Have you heard of or read Fantastic Four: Mythos? It's got art by Paolo Rivera and it's a retelling of their origin story, although they're on a space station and not in a rocket.

Also, I read about the New York Five on Graphic Content, the Vertigo blog, and although I haven't read the original story I thought it looked interesting. I might pick up the first issue of the mini-series.

Reed almost looks like an older David Boreanaz (or however that's spelt).
