He's got a symbol imprinted on the sole of his boot. Now that's dedication to detail for you.

Bats has one too as shown in Under The Hood (the trade, not the movie) :)

I dunno, it seems to make the British, or at least English, hero scene look too restrained.

Heck, Manchester and Vera Black are English. Probably didn't do their thing there, but...

If you ask me, it's nice to see British heroes that AREN'T complete psychopaths. Garth Ennis and similar folks have already given us about a million of 'em - it's kind of refreshing to see characters from the UK that are actually friendly and normal. Outside of ones like Captain Britain and his ilk, they've been pretty rare. (Anyway, Manchester Black probably wouldn't hang out in a place like that.)

Oh, true. But they seem a little too low-key to me. There's more to being English than stiff upper lip.

Well, of course, but remember, they're in a pub which more or less MAKES them behave that way. I imagine they're quite a bit different when they're in the field.

Ahem, BRITISH, if you don't mind. We saw the Professional Scotsman in there too.

...is there an Amateur Scotsman? I'd buy an issue of that.

Ah, true, I missed him. Though when I think 'stiff upper lip' I do think specifically English in general.

Agreed, somewhat. I can seem them palling around with casual crooks and whatnot, but it seems odd that they're so casual about a guy who's killed 30 people...

What on earth is an American like Daisy Mae Scragg doing there next to Wildcat, anyway?

You know who's missing? The Mad Mod! Although IIRC, he's retired from villainy and is now the Edna Mode of the DC Universe.

Hey, if both sides can be there, he should still totally be invited. It'd be fun, at least to hear him rag on costumes he doesn't like.

Yes, the original was seen in the Argent/Risk/Prysm/Slager as having reformed and running a massively popular and lucrative clothing line having being given a second chance by Mr Jupiter.

Some time after that, IIRC, Starman Jack Knight mentioned fighting the Mad Mod, so either he went crooked again, or it was a different guy using the name.

Cornell always strikes me as just a bit too preachy when he does stuff like this.

The most authentically British thing about it is that everyone looks a bit funny.
