Almost a decade ago Peter had no marriage and barely any job, an aunt restored to life, was hanging out with good friends Randy and Glory Grant and editorship was heavily pushing Jill Stacy (cousin of Gwen) as his new beau. Revamped villians and new costumes were involved, as well as a fake Green Goblin. Norman Osborn had recently been dethroned from owning the Daily Bugle after going insane. Then of course readership concerns negated all of that and MJ turned out to be alive and Jill faded into the background.
Now...Peter has no marriage, an aunt restored to life, was hanging out with good friends Harry and Lily Hollister and editorship is heavily pushing Carly Cooper (reincarnation of Granthony) as his new beau. Revamped villians and new costumes were involved, as well as a fake Goblin. Norman Osborn has recently been dethroned from owning SHIELD after going insane.

He was married to a beautiful and lvoing wife, he lived in Avengers Tower with his aunt may and wife. Was getting paid by Tony Stark.
Everything was good. Had cool powers.
Actually had some respectable jobs besides being a free-lance photographer for like a decade. Was a substitute teacher etc.
I loved all this stuff.
It is safe to say I don't know what is going on with Spider-Man right now and it sounds interesting, but we all know he is going to screw it up and go back to ground zero again as long as Joe Q is in charge.

so peter was happy cause he got a new job as a guy in a lab (not the doggy lmao) and he was smrt ccause of sceicne stuff and he went in the labs and made coooosstumes and stuff and they glowed like tron (that movie loks kewl!!!) .
he wa smaking enough money so he could go out with carlie (lol they are so kawaii together) and have lots of fun. also this new spidergurl was beating uip bad guys around spiders naeighborhood and they were all safe
so one day carlie and petrer went to his apartment and they got undressed and
