Hmph, photographic memory in fiction is only as permanent as the plot demands...odds are that all the stuff he's written down is going to play a part in Flashpoint...

...nonetheless, that ability would be really convenient for me right about now.

This would actually make sense if Brainy was like "Oh crap, he's going to throw off the entire space-time continuum if he does this... *sigh* I guess I'll have to find a way to keep him from remembering too many details he shouldn't." More than him just randomly forgetting things that continuity has indicated he shouldn't randomly forget.
