Not actually the last chapter of the book, but I honestly don't dig that one a lot, so I'll end with this one. First three chapters are here, here, and here. This one was a lot easier to cut down, due to about 15 pages that were essentially prologue and post-script....

Anyway, onward, and upward...


So, in this story, Mimi is visiting her family, who run a bakery...



Not so much as a 'please, Onee-chan' or 'thank you, Mimi!' Apparently Naoto's not the only jerk in Mimi's life. Ah, well, family, what can you do, right?



But Hana wasn't joking about Kei being clingy. (Also, check out the mouth on that kid, she could swallow you whole!)

So, Mimi goes to say hi to her mom and dad at work, with Kei clinging all the while...



Hee. Goldfish doo-doo.

Er, anyway. Hana goes on to point out that Mimi's her sister and try to tell Kei off for clinging to her all the time. Buuuut.... Given how quick Hana was to have Kei cling onto Mimi for a while, her jealousy here rings a little hollow. Eh, kids are allowed to be irrational, I guess....

As the day goes on, Kei doesn't get any less clingy, and ends up going to bed with Mimi...







Well...that certainly explains things.

Mimi heads back up to her room, thinking about the Ash Woman and Kei's mother...when she gets back....



Needless to say, the two of them don't stick around, and Mimi's parents respond to the commotion. They both try to tell Mimi she's imagining things, but, then Mimi's mom notices that Kei's cheek is all dirty, again....



So...they have an exorcism (which is actually kind of cool...and also rather funny...but...page limits), and Kei's mom finally ends up at peace. So does Kei.

Nobody ever tells Kei what happened to her mom. Not that I would, either... 'Kid, your mom died a horrible, painful death, and she was the ghost who terrified you for a few days...' Yeah, probably not what she wants to hear, yeah?

Onto the Kaidan Shin Mimu Bukuro episodes...
