Ok, my google-fu discovers signs of an Oregon Trail movie but nothing linking Uwe Boll to it (Whew!).

Whoa, and here I thought it was just a silly joke. There's an actual Oregon Trail movie in the works?! Man, does THAT bring back memories - there was a computer in my third grade classroom with that game on it. I remember the only reason anyone ever played the thing was to see who could die the most horrible death in it - starving, drowning, getting sick...

Oh God we used to play that game in my elementary school computer lab. Me and my friends just spent all our time hunting for food.

I think EVERY elementary school had that game. Its one of the ancient classics of the old school apple II days, like lemonade stand.

Man, I used to play the HELL out of that one.

I wonder how Heather is going to hide her arms from Darien without the fat suit. Because it would be weird if no one who knew her commented on her sudden extreme weight gain.

I somehow never played Oregon Trail. In Comuter Lab I always played Robotron 2084.

That's one I never heard of. From the simple and descriptive title, I craftily deduce that it was a game meant to teach open-heart surgery.

I'm glad you reminded me of this one. Last time I saw it it didn't have enough archive for me to dive into yet.

We had Commodore PETs, and a couple of 64's, so we never got into that game. The original Adventure, Space Invaders and the like were what we got.

I saw a fake trailer, but nothin' that indicates an actual movie is in the works. Though if Battleship could get a movie...

Well, both have cinematic elements to them that would well-serve a movie. 'Oregon Trail' is a pioneer game, and there have been plenty of movies about pioneers, whereas 'Battleship' - well, 'Battleship' is a game about battleships, so basically just right for a naval war movie. I can see how both would work.

I admit, I just saw the posted strip at first, and was kinda let down when I discovered that it is a fat suit; I thought that was her actual body.

I know, it's not the job of female comics characters to conform to my particular tastes for ogling, but... dang.

I think the inference is that, being the very shy person she is, Sahira is basically one of her only friends, so that's not really something she has to worry about.

To be fair, I think Sahira has similar tastes, considering how she was ogling heather when she first had the fat suit on.

Course, Heather's plan was just to wear a back pack to conceal her arms, so she could show off the lady Abs.
