I agree with you on this one. There would be a way to get it to be really believably (and not offensively) done, just by putting a little more focus on Talia, but unfortunately, this is Jason's story, and we are never going to get one that is solely Talia's because that's not how comics work. With regard to Jason, his epic mother issues made this almost inevitable.
