The search for the emotional entities of the Green Lantern stories continues, and we get some more answers.

Spoilers behind the cut.

Let me say this, as this whole issue is a talky one with little action.

The issue starts of with an ambulance with paramedics caring for two shot hoods. One has two shots inside his belly, being treated by the type of paramedic we hope to get.
The other hood has a shot in the arm.... and he has insurance. Mr.-Care-for-the-Insured argues that they should be working on the guy with insurance, as it would be easier. Mr. Nice guy doesn't take to kindly to his partner, but the argument is cut short at the racing ambulance is struck by
a truck and flipped. Everyone inside is dead, except the guy who needs a Care-Bear hug. He's is trapped under the ambulance, as he was thrown out. And then the Indigo tribe come, and claim him as one of their own, and as host to their emotional entity.

Back with Hal...

The Flash has intercepted the various Lanterns who are looking for the emotional entities, and have found the entity for Hope. Flash confront Hal about working with Sinestro and Atrocitus, known villains, and how he is turning his back on his fellow earth defenders for help.

Hal related to Barry why he can't risk having the others exposed to the entities as he relates what happened to him while he was Parallax.

It's starting to become a Mexican stand-off.

the Good:
Answer: Larfleeze, as he continues to steal the show and our hearts.

the Bad:
the Indigo tribe appears, and with them they brought Black Hand, who has been assimila... I mean "converted". And we find out who they are and were.

The rings make them play nice. Without them, members of the Indigo tribe are not nice.
Not very nice at all.

the Ugly
the guy who is stealing the emotional entities arrives, with Parallax in tow, and under his thrall.
Instead of going for the Lanterns, or attempting to collect the two emotion entities assembled before him, he sends Parallax to retrieve someone else instead.

And we get this:

I still love Saint Walker. The Blue Lanterns are my favorite of all the new Corps. (Although I love Larfleeze to pieces too.)

And I had suspected that the Indigos weren't all that nice in reality. Good to see that one of my theories was right for once... XD

When will Barry just admit to Hal that he's just jealous of Ollie, seriously.

Oh and I thought Larfleeze couldn't read? What happened there? Did I miss something?

Indigo tribe is officially creepy, and now I am starting to think if they manipulated the Atom the same way they are being controlled.

Parallax Barry is scary, them teeth.

So, both 'love' and 'compassion' pretty much force themselves on their hosts? Oy, someone really has issues with positive emotions.

Why must I always see pics of Parallax possessing people right before I go to bed? It's like the perfect nightmare fuel. Aside from that, I think I love Larfleeze more every time he speaks. I especially love Barry's little frowny face when he snatches his wallet back. Hee.

Heh. So the Indigo's are really psychopaths in the true sense of the world (or at least the original way it was diagnosed); they don't have emotions, but fake emotions and social interactions via the ring.

I wonder what that says about Ray Palmer.

well, there is one thing about what they're doing with Black Hand. While dead he's a conduit to Nekron. So they do kind of have to keep him alive.

But there does seem to be levels for the emotional corps. First, blue and yellow are what you inspire in others. Second consumes you. Third the emotion uses you to act.

Th paramedic scene bothers me. I know that its written to entice and provoke especially when the entire point of issue to discuss moral dilemmas, but all emts are taught basic triage.

Some of us are picky about what we are passionate about and what we do for living when it crosses into our media. The insurance debate does not happen. Insurance rarely comes up in a pre-hospital setting and when it does it comes from the patient or family.

I'm apologize for the rant but I don't want anyone thinking that in the States that paramedics would treat like this. We triage based on acuity not insurance.

I was going to ask the "So just where was he keeping that wallet?" question, but it appears I have been beaten to it.

But that last picture gets a lot of points for creepy.

Liked the Green Arrow commentary. Kinda what Kurk Buseik said about the GA/GL stories, they basically made Hal a foil for GA, and being a foil for Ollie, unless you're Canary, means being wrong.

Hello everyone!

I'm new to Scans_Daily, and GL is one of my favorite titles, so I thought here would be a good place for a first comment.

Anyway, I think this Indigo tribe reveal fits with what's been going on. I don't think they are saying emotions are evil, more that you shouldn't drown yourself in just one. That's the flaw of the corps, and the entities. Hope is useless without will, love needs control or it will smother you, that sort off thing.

I am really not liking the Indigo Corps after this reveal. They are being forced into "compassion". The paramedic who Proselyte chose seemed like a genuinely good compassionate person, not a sociopath like the others are implied to be. Also the Atom too.

I am linking the Blue lanterns the best, simply because they seem to be the one corps with the least problems and seem to be the most positive/stable.

I do want Arda (the bird) to return the girl to her parents though, since her parents hope for her return. Arda could find someone else unless the girl genuinely wants to be the avatar for hope.

We might get a Yellow vs Blue vs Indigo avatar fight though and that should be awesome. Hector might come over and add Orange to the mix.

On a different note it seems that the indigo light controls it's users more than the violet light does now.

I'm betting that when Batman and Superman show up next issue, Adara jumps over to Superman and Parallax makes a go for Batman.

I'm glad Larfleeze remains awesome.

It's still pretty odd. Compassion has been the oddest of the views on emotion so far in this series.

The inability for Hope to function without Will was silly but it helps give the really powerful Blue Lanterns an Achilles heel.

The Star Sapphires and the Predator was pretty weird too but they at least made a point that until now the Predator's been corrupted by its host.

The Indigo Tribe's rings making them feel compassion just feels all sorts of wrong since it's not even real compassion, heck the entire Indigo tribe acts very non emotional even when supposedly filled with compassion.

I don't understand how they left out "JOY" as an emotion.

This series makes no sense.
