Okay, gay guy floundering here... I have to ask... would wearing those panties that Shadow Lass is wearing even work? Now I'm as big a fan of heroes wearing panties as you can imagine (though I prefer mine green and with a feathered pattern) but surely that CANNOT be comfortable, or capable of staying up..

Shadow Lass and Mon-El aren't together anymore?! What did I miss?!

I was really looking forward to the return of "my" Legion (the one I grew up with the old DC Digests and back issues) and instead Levitz has given us non-stop shoving of the worst character this side of Magog (worse actually) down our threats continually. He's so awesome, he can copy anybody's power, he is chosen to to be Earth's Green Lantern, the other Legionaiires have to except him - or else, and Shadow Lass (apparently) broke up with Mon-El (off panel no less) so Levitz can have Earth Man hook up with her quicker than you can licketysplit. This douche is obnoxious, readers don't like him but it doesn't stop. I just hope there's more to this than just Levitz pushing a character (one he inherited from Johns no less).

Also: Mon-El seems to be leading the polls for next Legion Chairman. I have to think that's in part because of this storyline and a lot of readers want to see him tear this guy apart.

And while some people think Shadow Lass is just playing Earth Man. I'm not quite so sure (her behavior is weird - this is nothing attractive about this dude especially right after Mon-El, one of the most decent guys in the DCU). If she does have something planned, Mon is not in the loop.

As strange as Earth-Man is I think he's a good character.

Not all heroes agree on things and not all heroes have the same kind of views so having a hero who's a species-ist isn't that strange. And if nothing else the story looks like it'll be providing a path with his eventual reformation since he's already doubting his old beliefs.

I'm guessing this is a set-up of some sort on the part of Shadow Lass and Mon-El. Earth-Man is being presented as WAY too much of a jerk for us to be on his side, and Shadow Lass, I would hope, has better taste than that.
