IMO, the first issue of the Osborn miniseries was a bit disappointing, mainly because, well, Norman's not in it a whole lot. The bulk of it's setting up the main focus of the series, with Norman being transferred to a maximum security wing with a number of other high-risk supervillains.

There's a back-up, though, written none other by our friend Warren Eliis. It's primarily a character study on one of Norman's new cellmates, but it also features, well, Norman being Norman.

Watch out ladies, Norman's back in town.

The more smarmy/disgusting they make Norman, the less the whole Sin Past Gwen thing makes any sense (i.e. the excuse that Norman was charming with charisma and that was enough for Gwen to have sex with him and not the Love of Her Life boyfriend). I wonder if anyone at Marvel is aware of this.

More less than more, but even back then, he got where he was by being a workaholic, not by being a charismatic leader of men.
