So that girl is obviously the new Titan that was in the Preview page way back when. I think she's been talked about in Wonder Girl's one-shot coming up in January and I think her name is Solstice. Which makes sense if she knows Cassie's mom. So I'm excited. :)

I only know of Chimera, the Indian-American girl who was a member of the Team Titans prior to the teams dissolution in Zero Hour. (She should still be around she wasn't from the future like the Teamers)

The only one I can think of is Maya so I guess that's three we've thought of. Obviously they need one who isn't in limbo or whatever. Hopefully this girl will become prominent in the Teen Titans and won't be pushed to the background

I'm hoping, since she isn't being created to take up a mantel that has already been created that won't happen to her. It's Aqualad I'm worried about, I don't think he was created to replace Garth, but he's still taking over a mantel. Since she's not I'm hoping for the best. I hope I'm not giving DC to much credit (which is saying something because that's hardly any credit at all).

Plus the woman from Secret Six, she's South Asian, too. She's got an interesting power, can make earthquakes, iirc.

Oh and agreed! And you know, it would be nice for Vic to have some spotlight/maybe even a love interest. Most stories I've read of Teen Titans that have Vic in them often have him as a team-player, but not at the forefront of the stories.

I think Vic is dating Lightning, Jennifer Peirce. Black Lightning's daughter, Thunder's sister. At least he was, I don't know what is going on anymore though.

Aruna Shende, that was her name. She was in Batgirl Annual 1 back in 2000, apparently. Though I haven't read an appearence by her and have only seen her in the DC Comics Encyclopedia.

Kid Devil died just a little over a year ago.

And Kid Eternity was kidnapped from the team by Calculator and killed and I don't think any of them have even noticed yet.

Has Kid Eternity definitely been killed? Because in the solicit for January Teen Titans it said a long lost Titan was going to be calling out for help and I thought it was going to be him. I mean is he "dead is dead" or is he just dead...

Technically Kid Eternity's been dead all along anyway... so bringing him back wouldn't be difficult.

That's what I was assuming too, I think he's the obvious choice for who the "lost Titan" should be. I don't even think the Titans know he was kidnapped I think they assume he just left.

Which is really just silly but probably how it'll be spun in Teen Titans. You'd think the team would worry about his vanishing since he warned Wondergirl about how his accompaniment could mean crazy magical attacks. Oh well I suppose.

Literally, its Greek for the sun standing still. Her civilian name means rays of sunlight, so sounds like she'll have light powers.

I don't particularly mind, Solstice is not exclusively 'European' - it's a geographical event, marked in most cultures in the world (including Hindu, which Kiran appears to be). TBH, I'd rather have a name like 'Solstice' than something oh-so-exotic.

Which is quite popular in the present-day Indian subcontinent, given its colonial history. I'm struggling to think of an exact equivalent of the word 'solstice' in Sanskrit - there probably isn't any, there are words for summer solstice and winter solstice instead, which translate into 'southern movement of the sun' and 'northern movement of the sun' (not that I'm the world's greatest translator). Either way, it's not an issue IMHO. I'd be more interested in seeing how she is portrayed once her character is fleshed out.
