Man, they'd damn well better not go through with that cliffhanger and wipe her memory. Bad enough that she's already been screwed over that way enough in the past, but dear god, don't pull a "Brand New Day" style reverting to status quo with Bruce/Selina.

We already lost a whole bunch of character growth for Selina after the last memory wipe debacle. Please, don't take her even further back.

Then again, doing so would probably please more hardcore Cat-fans than I. I come from the unpopular opinion that the Brubaker run of Catwoman was the best thing that happened to the character. Just as BND has pleased some Spider-Man fans, I'm sure such a reversal would be met with approval by many. I just won't be one of them.

Passes out with you! I may not be a big fan of Brubaker's Catwoman (although i loved Wild Ride) but this is a totally pathetic Selina. Catwoman fans may bicker about Balent vs Brubaker versions but we can all agree Sirens is total shit! I want this title cancelled.

Who the hell comes up with these stupid story lines?!

It's almost like someone mindwiped Zatanna. You'd think she, of all people, wouldn't be advocating messing around with the memories of someone important to Bruce Wayne.

I really hope they don't do this, because it would clearly be a cheap way of avoiding the whole 'Selina is with Bruce, and by extension, works with the Batfamily, whilst Harley and Ivy are still (albeit reformed, to an extent) their enemies' issue.

I much prefer the possibilities of Harley and Ivy occasionally being reluctant allies/associates of Batman and co, simply because they hang with Selina.

I like Shrike actually, but by this point though, I only see him as jobber who can put up a good fight but ultimately makes the other fighter look good.

And I hate to say it but I almost see this as some weird play for Bruce, make Selina forget him and open the way for Talia.

Not sure if that's where this is supposed to go but thats the only way I can see "wipe bruce from selina's mind" making any sort of sense.

I actually think that sounds... mildly amusing. Though I suppose it would inevitably degenerate into a stereotypical cat fight (oh, lol, sigh) rather than something clever and conspiratorial. A machiavellian play by Talia to reunite her perfect family, though, could be interesting.

Judging by how hard they are pushing Bat/Cat I don't think DC would do any further mind-wipes of Selina (or undoing a major feature of one of their premiere storylines - Loeb/Lee's Hush - in a low-profile title like Sirens) but the very fact that they are letting Zatanna consider this again is mind-boggling. I've said before I don't think any "hero" came out of Identity Crisis more damaged in credibility than Zatanna and despite having her own title DC is doing nothing to change that opinion.

And for those counting this is the Nth version of Talia that we've seen (once again trying to protect her "Beloved"), a character different than both Morrison's and Winick's or even Tomasi's (from Nightwing) or Rucka's (from Death and the Maidens). Is she purposely being written as bi-polar or something or is DC in such desperate need of a villainous Asiatic Dragon Lady stereotype (which they've tried with Nyssa and Cass) that they just slot in Talia even if makes no sense.

To be fair to Zatanna, we don't see her reaction to this. The comic ends with Talia saying they have to mind wipe Selina.

I have no doubts that the mindwipe won't push through for exactly the reason you state, but I hate how everyone is written here:

Selina is a pathetic mess (which we know she isn't in Morrison's Inc)
Ivy and Zatanna are just stupidly catty to each other
Talia is going to be the villain (yet again!) based on future solicits

I just don't see how this book is going to please the fans of any of these characters.

On the plus side though, Harley's still fairly in character. That's not much of a plus, I admit, but you take what you can get, right?

No. Either get a writer who can write all the ladies in character or drop the Catwoman from this book. A lot of Catwoman fans I know would rather see her gone from this one altogether.

I'm confuzzled: They do know that Bruce knows that Selina knows, right? And that the Batfamily (with the probable exception of Damian) knows she knows?

The fact that Zatanna seems to even be considering this is just stupid.

And another thing:

"Sorry, Zatanna. I'm protected from your nonsense"

A) Um... How?
B) The correct response to that would be "You think so? Negyxo etingi."

I think it's pretty clear we're meant to know that this is a horrible idea.

Zatanna's answer should be the following... "FUCK NO!" It got her in hot water before, especially, ESPECIALLY with Bruce. If she does do it again (which I think she won't, but you never know), this will sink the Bruce/Zee ship into the depths of the ocean and never to be found again. Plus it'll be really stupid on her part considering how bad she's felt doing the mindwiping thing to begin with.

What Talia wants and what Zatanna will do are probably two different things.

Zatanna respects Bruce and Selina too much to do this to to them, even if it would be to protect both of them.

yeah the thing is i think this takes place before Bruce comes back, and if that is the case we already know (in more than one comic) that Selena not only still knows Bruce, but they seem to be "together" in both cases so yeah...

plus i just don't see Zee doing this.

Hm, part of me thinks that this might just be Talia feeling vindictive due to Bruce having a far closer relationship with Selina and Zatanna than to her, so she's subtly disposing of two of her rivals at once.

well, Talia means "Bruce" and not Batman, of course, right?

And it's not like talia can make zee do anything zee doesn't want to ...so this doesn't even come off as threatening or ominous to me, unless Zee will be written as completely character regressed and actually consider this as an option.

Mess with her mind.

I predict Pete Calloway is going to follow in the footsteps of Bronwyn Carlton and Will Pfeifer. (Where are they now by the way)
