Ross-Hulk (Why don't they code-name him 'Thunderbolt?') tries to talk Thor down.



Steve is getting annoyed because he suspects Bruce is letting things go on. So Bruce uses a hologram of Galactus to shock the pair into stopping.





Thor opens portals with his hammer to get Rulk to one comet, and himself to the other. They both destroy their comets. However..

Whats astonishing is how reasonable Thor acts most of the time.

Yeah, from what I gather about the original legends, both of Odin's sons made him facepalm a lot.

True, but Odin isn't much like himself in the legends either.

That's true, Odin was always nipping off to Midgard for a bit of adventure himself. That's what happens when you get early translators trying to hammer a bunch of vikings into the Greek template.

Can't remember, was it Balder the actual leader in a practical sense, rather than Odin?

Its only high school Norse legends that I recall now...But I thought Balder was more of a party guy. What kind of doofus lets people use him for target practice when the only reason he's immune to weapons is because the mother goddess made sure of that because his death heralds Ragnorak?

In the comics minis, its being portrayed as an assassination, but according to the legend it was considered great fun to throw dangerous weapons at Balder, which is why Loki 'helped' blind Holdr get in on the festivities.
