Finally: Some Shadow and Amy...

The first Sonic game that I played off from the classics on Genesis, was Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, and it really bugged me how the whole part about Amy turning Shadow around seem to be... forgotten. I mean, Amy convenience Shadow to be a hero, and he died for that, and this hasn't really effected Amy at all. I was disappointed how in Sonic Heroes, Team Dark had no contact with Team Rose. I lost hope when Amy teamed up with Shadow on ONE level in his game and the ARK event wasn't brought up once (which has been "modify" to a fan comic on deviantART). The Sonic X replaced Amy's vital role by having Chris taking her part Sonic Universe #2 help brought more pain, as they kinda retcon the entire story of the game over all, just focusing on Shadow and Sonic, and from issue  of #21, I say that the link between Amy and Shadow was forever null and void But then I found the preview for Sonic Universe #23, and I like where they're going with it.










Okay, I admitted it I am a ShaAmy fan. But even if you aren't, you have to admit, Shadow and Amy have a special bond. Amy is the one who finally remind Shadow of Maria's wish, and even if his memories of Maria were fake, Amy saw Shadow shed a tear for the only time. She knows that for all the times that Shadow acts high and mighty, for all the times he acted like an emo-jerk, she knows that Shadow cares for others, he just acts distant so he can't be hurt. That's a unique link that needs to be focus more on the games. They are based on story, so explore more on it, SEGA!

Regarding the way SU#2 played out the rest of SA2, that was more or less the result of the way the first part of the adaptation had been played out years ago; many of the other characters were already predisposed, so this was sort of a way to tie things up.

Oh, and incidentally, I sort of like how Amy and Silver got along in StH2006, despite everything else.

I read these pages, and I am just reminded of why the Archie Sonic continuity is far superior to the games and the Sonic X cartoon:

Archie Sonic is honestly *really good*, and has been on a good streak for awhile now.

Well, Sonic games come out like what, 2-3 times a year? While the comics come monthly... so they do have more chance to flesh them out.

Motto times a bazillion. I've actually considered calling this the StH books 'Golden Age', just due to the overall quality in art/writing. I honestly can't remember such a long stretch of awesome in the book.
