Wait, what? Twins? What? There's nothing in here about that! Is this a self-insert fanfic? With pretty decent art?

That Blade vs. Twilight bit is awesome. I always wondered how stuff like vampire fiction would be treated in universes where vampires and other nasties actually exist. Would Buffy watch Twilight and notice some uncomfortable similarities?

I guess in Marvel's eyes, Millar's ideas take more precedent than Orsen Scott Card.

IIRC When Spike meets up with Angel just after arriving in Suunydale, he believes that Angelus is still managing to use the "Anne Rice crap" to his own "brooding noble loner" advantage.

Also, when meeting Dracula, Buffy's first comment is "Are you REALLY Dracula? Really? Because I've met more than my fair share of overweight vamps calling themselves Lestat"

I'd rather follow Millar's continuity than Orson Scott Card's.

To be fair Orson Scott Card wrote Ultimate Iron Man

A couple years after Millar did The Ultimates, so Scott Card's version might just not necessarily count?

I know, right? I get it, people don't like Twilight. But is it really necessary to devote this much energy to making fun of it? It just doesn't seem worth it.

I hope they got people who can do justice to the birth scene. A second unit headed by David Cronenberg, with FX by either Rob Bottin or Screaming Mad George would do.

That Blade Twilight thing was pretty awesome--with it I can almost forgive him for Nemesis. Almost.

Nice but Supernatural beat them to the punchline..

Seriously. The Supernatural episode shown in the US a couple of weeks back had a whole precredits scene that was a riff on the whole Bella-Edward thing. With the vampire in question after seducing her in such a fashion, giving said girl a horrific fate at the end of the scene.

There were also comments later on that this was turning out to be a great time for Vamps to get easy meals due to them being able to take advantage of gullible, horny teenage girls!

Yeah I'm sure if we still had a Buffy show, they's be having a field day with this..

That reminds me, I really need to get my hand on one of those Buffy t-shirts I've seen going around. (You know the one that states on it, something like.." And then Buffy stakes Edward. The End") LOL!

Although personally I want someone to do some sort of clips mash up of Angel staking Edward. (I know there's one of Buffy doing it somewhere on youtube, but I always prefered Angel.)

Considering that Supernatural is infamous for its horrible treatment of female characters, I think I prefer the version where the innocent (if extremely naive) girl doesn't end up horribly murdered.

I like Edgar's "Feet, don't fail me now!" running style in the second panel of the third page.

I have only seen the first Twilight movie (so far) and I haven't read any of the books (yet). I wonder if is worth parody/mockery than it is worth outright "Who okay-ed this for publication?" scorn. Bella's blood being really, REALLY tasty for vampires doesn't seem different from elements in Buffy or True Blood. (Of course, Bella isn't mystically special, aside form being the main character.)

I've honestly tried to watch the films, and because I never made it through them, I just assumed that maybe I'd grown out of the whole Vampire tragic/forbidden love type storytelling.

But then today, I happened to catch some old Angel episodes that I hadn't watched in years, and I still really enjoyed them. (Shrugs..) So I guess it wasn't that..
