It seems peculiar now, but television shows adapted for comics were quite prevalent for a time during the 1950s-1960s. Almost every comic publisher had one. It was mistakenly believed that television would cripple other forms of entertainment media by giving away free content. Rather than fight against the new medium like the motion picture industry, comics instead tried to ally themselves with any and all of the hit shows. And hit shows don't hit much bigger than I LOVE LUCY, which still has a large fanbase even now.
The series only ran from 1951 until 1957, but the comic outlived it by lasting until 1962. Published by Dell, this wacky interlude is from I LOVE LUCY COMICS #9, February 1956

When I got an email notification for this, all I was thinking is Oh God! S/he's going to have that scary Batman icon, the one with the mouth of Sauron or whatever and it's going to creep me the hell out. All I have to say is PHEW! LOL.

I could be wrong, but I think it was THE DICK VAN DYKE SHOW that first showed a married couple (Rob and Laura Petrie) snuggled up in bed together.
Also of note, Mary Tyler Moore was told not wear pants in every episode; because she was playing a housewife.
