The Saga of May and the Mole Man: This makes sense to no one except for Stan

So, when we last left off, Mole Man had kidnapped Aunt May and Mary Jane, with the intention of making May his queen. Surprisingly, May took a liking to the Mole Man, given she has a thing for overweight supervillains with sight problems.

Spidey and the Thing decide to crash the party, only to see things aren't as they seem...

I'm sure there are some ethical objections to someone officiating over their own wedding. It may not be recognised by other states at all if Subterania is actually recognised itself.

Makes perfect sense to me. Melvin has always been more of an orthogonal moral presence than a super-villain, he's got his own priorities, and tends just to emerge to tear shit up when people intrude on subterrenea anyway.

Plus, May has a thing for the tortured geniuses. She almost married Doc Ock, after all.

Awesome I especially liked Spidey's "She's an adult, she can do whatever she wants" comment, and the fact that even though he doesn't like her decision he respects it.

I love that Peter immediately went looking for the Mole Man's natural nemeses but only ended up with the most entertaining of the four to team up with.

Well, thanks to Joe Quesada/Mephisto, May doesn't know anymore in the 616 universe either.

But the newspaper comic has always followed its own continuity. It's whatever makes sense to Stan at the moment. A couple of months ago he referred to events taking place in Spider-Man 3 as canon, so it's all over the place, really.
