Welcome to day 27 of
scans_daily's 30 Days of Winter celebration. Sorry it's so late, but today's theme is Funny Comics!
In 1982, What If #34 was an all-comedy issue, full of more pitches than they could've made into full issues. Here are a few samples, about 8 of 37 pages.

So, what are your favorites?
And stay tuned tomorrow, when we'll be discussing Horror Comics! As always, you can see our full schedule to be sure you don't miss a day.

Date: 2010-12-28 04:26 am (UTC)Favorite funny comic for me is Azumanga Daioh. Every time I pick up my omnibus it's near impossible to put down (the dream sequences! "Hawk! Eggplant!").

Date: 2010-12-28 04:43 pm (UTC)The Pet Avengers is sorely lacking a representative from the most abundant group on the planets; the insects. Maybe a rebellious member of the Swarm collective!

Date: 2010-12-28 06:29 am (UTC)In that light, somehow I can't help but see a vague dig at Ditko in this parody now.

Date: 2010-12-28 09:21 pm (UTC)My favorite humor comic ever (at least in superhero comics) would have to be the GLA: Misassembled miniseries that Dan Slott and Paul Pelletier did, shortly after Avengers: Misassembled and Identity Crisis, both of which Slott mercilessly mocks. Plus, you know, Squirrel Girl! (It's actually a little poignant now, given that Slott has basically an IV drip of the Quesada Qool-Aid jacked into his carotid artery.)
