'cause he's killed off all the boyfriends/fiances she had; before that, they were essentially star-crossed lovers.



He manages to reproduce the accident gave Barry his powers; also, from the hints we're given, I'm inclined to think The Return of Barry Allen is still in-continuity.




"It's time I destroyed his."

Short version - he's been rewriting his own origin so that everything is favorable to him - even killing his brother, making it so that he never existed (though because of how mercurial the timestream is, I wouldn't be surprised if he somehow showed up again).

tl;dr WHAT.

Yeah, he's...uh, really screwed up, and that's putting it lightly.

Sigh, so the removal of just about ANYTHING achieved by Wally continues, since I assume this is who we've been seeing rather than Hunter Zolomon of late.

Going by Rebirth #6 and the vision in Brightest Day #0, I'm inclined to think Zolomon will show up sooner rather than later (probably during Flashpoint).

Yeah, the Reverse Flash we've been seeing of late is Thawne--but from what Rebirth #6 hinted, I think him and Zolomon are going to team-up, and probably create their own "Reverse Flash Family."

Hunter's a character for whom Johns clearly cares a lot. Therefore, I'm sure we'll be seeing him again soon in a major capacity. We just need to finally give Zoom a makeover much in the way Sinestro got first.

Given that it was Johns who killed off Thaddeus Thawne when he became the Reverse Kid Flash, I wouldn't put money on that. But then again, Inertia wasn't a "Barry Villain", so sod him.

Ah, but he also didn't create Inertia! Thad wasn't his original character, so there isn't the same investment he would have for him that he had (and I bet, still has) for Hunter. So big difference there.

Is it just me, or has Thawne become the Flash's personal Joker/Sabertooth - i.e. Stuck for a storyline? Bring in Reverse Flash and have him try to destroy The Flash! Again!

I've never found the Barry Allen Flash that interesting, honestly (and he was the Flash I grew up with...it took Mark Waid's run on Wally to make me care about the Flash at all). I've found the Reverse-Flash even less interesting, generally speaking.

I mean, he's just a null-space as a concept. The move to making him more and more psychopathic doesn't make him more interesting to me, it makes him more cliche. I did kind of like the representation of him as a cold, almost inhuman force of nature (as I think Morrison presented him)...but he's still just kind of dull. He's too defined by other characters instead of standing on his own merits, to me.
