I originally was going to specifically name all the other big writers/teams, but held back because 1.) it felt superfluous, and 2.) I didn't want to pick a fight with my hyperbolic assessments. Even if I honestly believe them to be true.
The TAS comics lack the ambition of plot and scope seen from people like Grant Morrison, Rucka/Brubaker/Grayson, and Dixon/Grant/Moench. But I love Batman for the characters above all else, the characters, their ideals, and what they represent. In that regard, the TAS tie-in comics tower above the rest of the actual continuity comics, even with all their "important," nothing-will-ever-be-the-same-again events.
