Now, normally I am do not critique art too often, no the design, as I know most of these guys are trying. But this....

This redesign of a classic character sucks. Sucks hard.

He looks like a Silver Age villain....

I'm actually more distressed by the fact that he's apparently going back to the Sentinel name. I'm a few issues behind, so if he already has, I missed it. (It's not a bad name, but Alan's the Green Lantern, darnit. Give us a new character named Sentinel!)

DC is trying to weed the Earth-based Lanterns down in anticipation of an infusion of new blood from the movie. Pretty soon it's going to be just Hal again.

Interesting theory. They let Alan Scott thru the net and into "Smallville", but made the reference VERY subtle. My hubby, who certainly hears enough about Hal Jordan from me, actually had to ask me, "Who was the guy with the fire hydrant ring?"
