Seriously..how come Fall of Green Arrow and War of the Supermen isn't on that list? Not to mention some Spider-Man stories? Just saying.

It's all about extremes. Those were all bad stories, yes, but only in a mildest sense - they were averagely bad, and lacked the tangy, sharp flavour of fail that spiced up every page of RoA or S: Grounded.

Although I would say OMIT outshines them all, but Spider-Man will always have diehard apologists to back him up, so it's difficult to say the majority hates it.

"One Moment in Time" has some okay art and mostly comes across as Joe Quesada being unnecessarily defensive of an extraordinarily bad idea. While it's really stupid, it doesn't deserve to be lumped in with "the Sentry fucked Rogue" or "Roy Harper beating dudes with a dead cat."

Well when you put it that way..althought I still think War of the Supermen definitely needs to be in that list. They killed off and got rid of any kryptonian that wasn't Superman, Supergirl, Superboy, and Krypto. Also Doomsday since he was born there..yea..just being technical. Still more than that...it was a serious case of ball dropping and throwing away a goldmine. New Krypton was one of those changes that worked and should've stuck. Instea,d they were brought back, all so they can die.

WoK was pretty mind blowingly awful to be honest, everything about it is basically a desecration of what Superman means and stands for and the only reason I think it's not regarded one of the worst stories ever is that it was followed directly by the even more execrable Grounded.

I mean it's basically a story in which Superman decides to stand complicit in an act of genocide against the Kryptonian people, defend the perpetrators of that genocide, and attack the survivors of the massacre for their utterly justified decision to respond to an unprovoked act of war. It's a horrifying moral septic tank of a comic.

Which Spider-Man stories? David Uzumeri writes for that site, and he liked "Grim Hunt" and "Shed" just fine.

In a year with the five stories they listed, nothing in ASM even comes close except "One Moment in Time," and that's just embarrassing to Quesada. Compared to Cry for Justice, it doesn't even rate.

OMIT is the one. That story was just...hell it wasn't even throwing salt on the wound, it completely reopened it. The problem I had with Shed (aside from the obvious scene) was the fact that Dr. Connors wasn't left alone and I personally prefer if it was just a new character with little to no involvement of the Connors.

Some people aren't wounded. The problem with "One Moment in Time" is that it keeps poking the bad idea, long after most people have either abandoned the character or forgiven the initial idiocy.

It's not the Prometheus Decapitates His Way Across the DCU Happy Fun Time Hour. Sit down and read "One Moment in Time" and Cry for Justice, one right after the other. One's stupid. The other's almost toxic.

"Shed" worked because...

A few reviews of "Shed" seem to imply that the story worked because it harshly subverted the "typical" Lizard story where the Lizard reverts into Doc Connors before he can hurt Billy Connors. This time, the Lizard EATS Billy Connors.

Grim Hunt and Shed are also the ones, as they were terrible stories.

Uzumeri put up a big post on Comics Alliance talking about how much he loved "Shed," so it wasn't getting in regardless. I think it's linked somewhere in the top 10 of the year article.
