Batman has become more of a "myth" in Gotham as the criminal underworld has dissipated. Gotham is safer with arrests 30% down so The Dark Knight keeps a very low profile. Batman also has a new aerial vehicle, "The Wraith". A modified military prototype aircraft/drone with a 40 foot wing span. The Batmobile is now equipped with an E.M.P device.


I love love LOVED the design of the Batwing from the 1998 movie and how it was incorporated into the DCAU. The Batman aerial vehicles in the comics since then have been disappointing. A modified military hunter/drone sounds more plausible for flying around the city canyons than a huge jet.

If these rumors are to be true, and the casting of Tom Hardy is also true; I can see him both as Lawton and Black Mask. I think I would prefer him as Deadshot though.

With so many possible plot points and with the introduction of:

3 characters/villains: Deadshot, Black Mask, and Talia, how are they going to dedicate sufficient amount of screen-time each while not sacrificing anything for the plot?

Chris Nolan is a gifted director, but I hope he doesn't end up taking more than what he bargained for the movie.

Still, sort of looking forward to it. Although sadly enough, this film will be compared to The Dark Knight and probably in an unfavorable way (I'm beginning to see why Nolan dislikes "the third movie" in franchises).

Forgive my ignorance but I haven't been reading some of Batman's books.

Let's discuss this throwaway line about Potential Love Interest Casting:

Eva Green, Naomi Watts, Keira Knightley, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Biel, Kate Mara, Charlotte Riley, and Gemma Arterton are testing to fill two female roles, the villain Talia, daughter of Ra’s Al Ghul and a love interest reporter Vicky Vale.

This looks pretty much like throwing darts at names on a dartboard, but I could vote for Eva Green as Talia. Y'all?

Anymore than that, they risk making the movie a disaster. Then again if Nolan intends to put in Talia as a love interest and NOT as the femme fatale villain she's been portrayed as in comics lately, I'll be cool with that. Then again they're also shopping around for a Vicki Vale, so..two love interests, two villains...hmm as long as it all can be balanced out.
