Admittedly, part of my amusement comes from a personal thing. I have this friend and he matches the "hipster" thing so much it hurts. Hurts funny.

See, I don't really get the whole 'hipster' thing. In this, they seem to be defined as 'self-righteous slackers who dress in a slightly eccentric fashion', but from what I've heard, just about ANYONE can be declared a hipster. In fact, trying very hard NOT to be a hipster can be seen as hipsterish. Where will it all end? *shakes fist at sky*

It's more of a poserish attitude to me. Not totally a clothes thing to me.

Fair enough, but 'poser' is a tricky definition, because where does 'I am genuinely enthusiastic about the things I care about, and wish to spread the love' become 'the things I DON'T like are obviously inferior, and the things I DO like will only remain that way as long as they pander to my interests'? There must be a grey area in between, but it's very difficult to discern.
