Indeed. Annihilus is a lot of things but he isn't unnecessarily wasteful.

Also, I first thought it was Reed, but from the comments, I assume Reed doesn't have gold eyes. I don't pay attention.

And what's this I hear about Alex Power being.... college age? Last I saw of him was... well, tiny. Compared to most, anyway.

Alex Power is like 18-19. Which makes sense since the last time we saw Julie she was 16-17.

Not yet. But the Future Foundation kids, (Bentley "32" Wittman, Valeria Richards, the Moloids, Alex Power, Leech, Artie, Dragon Man) don't get a lot of screen time relative to their awesomeness..

I'm kinda pissed that we probably won't see She-Hulk in this book reacting to Johnny's death.

I know Spider-Man was closer to Johnny, but I've always felt that Jen was more of a 5th member than Peter ever was.

As a team-mate, yes she should, but Peter was more Johnny's buddy than Jennifer was, so I think they're wanting to hint at the wider impact.

You know what I think? I think this Reed isn't the real Reed, and all along it's been another, different Reed via the bridge replacing OUR Reed who stayed behind.

Wait wait wait, 'Alex Power' is listed on the board of potential members? Can someone help explain just what the hell Power Pack's status is now in 616?

The siblings exist, but there is no longer a "Power Pack". Alex is college-aged, Julie is a little younger and presumably still in LA. According to Hickman, the rest of the Power kids are with their parents at their house, being normal kids, not superheroes.

I think she and the rest of the Loners moved to New York in the Darkhawk miniseries.

They showed up in an earlier issue for Franklin's birthday, because he's a former member.

Alex Power is already a part of the Future Foundation, and helped repel the internal invasion of Annihilus sleepers in the Baxter Building.

'Final Issue' simply means they'll end this title here and relaunch it under a slightly altered name next month. You think after seeing so many of that from DC this past decade readers would be used to this sort of thing.

That was announced months ago.

Brevoort said last summer that they wouldn't be releasing a book called Fantastic Four as of some point in 2011.

Well, if you do the math, what would be Fantastic Four #589 becomes FF #1, which leaves a nice 12-issue arc dovetailing nicely to become FF #12 or Fantastic Four #600.

Which, I have no doubt, will signal the return of a certain match-head.

Is that from the upcoming Spidey has a talk with Franklin story? Personally I'm waititing for March's ASM issue that ties with this (the first Spider-Man title I buy post-OMD) and I'm only getting it because I loved Dan slott's Spider-Man/Human Torch and I like how he handles their relationship.

Also those golden eyes, I agree, it's going to be from an upcoming Johnny Storm is Annihilus puppet story.
