AIM was using the Fenris Wolf to research Asgardian DNA. Three of their test subjects were successfully transformed into baseline Asgardians, which in Marvel terms, gives them superhuman strength and resilience. She's on par with somebody like Sif.

I have often pondered why writers rule on somethings and suck on others.

I think most people only have a finite amount of awesome available to them at any given time.

Sometimes they use it knowingly and other times it's pure intstinct.

I remember the time when the New Mutants went to Asgard and stayed with some of the 'normal' Asgardian folk, who were said to be stronger and more resilient than the average mortal, but not in the 'supergodly' sense apparently.

I'm assuming the AIM agent is something along those lines, but since she has the spliced genes of the Fenris wolf, I'm assuming she's almost near the pantheon level in terms of physical strength?

A normal Asgardian, just some dude you'd see in the background standing around in a village, is roughly three times tougher and stronger than a human. They've got very dense musculature, and if they're any stronger than that, it's because of magic or divine favor or something. (I think that's how it works, anyway.)

In this issue, Helen's capable of manhandling all three of the Warriors at once until Hogun decides he's had enough and knocks her silly with one hit from his mace.

Wait. Isn't Fenris the son of Loki, who is technically not a real Asgardian? Isn't Loki an unusually-small Frost Giant who was just adopted by Odin?

If so, how can Fenris be used to research Asgardian DNA?

Given that a Frost Giant managed to sire a giant wolf, I think all Asgardian DNA in general is alot more... versatile than mere mortal DNA.

Given that Loki and Angr-Boda are both accomplished shapeshifters, it's entirely possible that the wolf was conceived when they were both yeah let's not go there.

I think I can mythologyfanwank this. Loki is Aesir (Asgardian/god) by right of blood-brotherhood. If he and Odin literally mingled blood, then his DNA has had access to Asgardian DNA and could morph accordingly.
