When a hero starts dreaming of being the damsel in distress normal, human, with someone to protect them, well... I don't know whether this is going to go well, or really, really badly. 

But I thought it was oddly sweet.

And very gay. But this being scans daily, it doesn't need to be said.

Some aspect of Modeus inside Plutonian's head?

Exactly what I was thinking, but I'm not fully convinced of anything until I see the next bit.

The issue starts with ModeusBot deciding to rescue Plutonian. Given that, I'd assumed the ending here was him reaching out and making psychic contact, which was then interpreted by Plutonian as part of his escapist dream world.
