Bunch of guys playing football with Iron Man notably absent. That's how I tend to think of the Avengers, tend to think that's how fan's prefer them, and tend to dislike them because of it.

They keep Tony from constantly building stuff and sexing up Pepper. I feel my reasoning is sound!

Well I'll give you the second point, he builds lots of stuff for the Avengers.

Tony's all, "I'm gonna go kiss my lady," and Hawkeye's all, "Make me arrows," and that's why the Avenger's suck.
