Aw, Hal isn't voiced by Christopher Melon?

Dammit, there goes my fantasy scenario of Elliot Stabler: Green Lantern of SVU.

He was already GL in Green Lantern: First Flight. Aside from the two Superman/Batman movies, they don't like giving actors the same role like that.

How much does DC hate Wonder Woman?

That much.

I think what you meant to say there was 'how much do FANS hate Wonder Woman?', given that it was the commercial failure of her DVD that resulted in no sequel.

Public Enemies (which I was very disappointed in) sold 520,000 copies. Wonder Woman sold about 105,000. Superman Doomsday sold 600,000 copies. First Flight sold 360,000 copies. New Frontier sold 300,000 copies. Apocalypse sold about 330,000.

Don't blame DC for not making a sequel of a well-reviewed but poor selling video. Blame fans for NOT BUYING IT.

Am I allowed to say I'm looking forward to this? I happen to like the Corps. And yeah, I like the Corps better than Wonder Woman. It has nothing to do with her being female; she's a character who's just never interested me that much. I bought the Wonder Woman movie and I watched it, and then I resold it because I wasn't really into it. I did the same thing with Superman/Batman Apocalypse because even Kevin Conroy couldn't save it from sucking, and I resold New Frontier because the comic was a thousand times better.

Barbara Gordon, Helena Bertinelli, Cass Cain, Steph Brown and Karen Starr are more my style than Diana. And if DC ever makes a Birds of Prey animated movie, I will be *so* there. And my god, if they'd do a Batgirl movie with Steph or Cass? My brain would short out from the awesome. But they won't. At least Wonder Woman fans got something. I'm never going to get *my* dream girl animation.

I'm also looking forward to this--I like Wonder Woman, but I can see why "movie tie-in involving massive space battles" might sell a little bit more than "super-amazon in swimsuit fights minotaurs."

Of course you're allowed to say that. Everyone's entitled to their opinion and taste is a very subjective thing after all. It's quite obvious that the (/a very vocal) majority on scans_daily has a certain set of fixed preferences that will naturally get a lot more attention than others, but the very idea that a dissenting opinion that is uttered in a respectful and thoughtful manner is somehow not allowed because it doesn't adhere to the scans_daily mainstream is one that frightens me deeply.
Above all, this community has always tried to be inclusive and tolerant towards others and I'd hate to think that we've come to a point where we present ourselves as the exact opposite of that ideal.

So this is GL's equivalent of Batman: Gotham Knight. I wish they could have gone all the way and given each section to a big anime director, so it doesn't look like a sequel to First Flight, but hey, I'm still looking forward to it.

I cannot believe no one has said anything about Nathan Fillion as Hal yet. The role should have belonged to him since First Flight.

Curious due to seeing Sinestro as part of the Corps here. Then again if it's told in "tales form" it'll make sense if tales involving him are pre-yellow ring.

Looks like we might be getting a Sinestro Corps story though unless those were just Qwardians I saw in the trailer.

So it's a collection of short stories about various Green Lanterns? I can get behind that. That's how Mogo got introduced after all.
Though personally hope this combined with the sigh movie will eventually lead to an oversaturation of the general public on all things Green Lantern so that we can focus on another franchise for a change.
Because honestly, if _I hear that stupid oath one more time, I will go berserk.

When I saw this trailer on the All Star Superman Blu-Ray, I kept hoping I would hear John Stewart or Guy Gardner or Kyle Rayner. At the very LEAST John Stewart, as he's one of the more well-known GL's. But nope. And then I was incredibly disappointed and not really interested.
