Proof that it's not just the ladies who get to have relationships in the 31st century (Since Ayla and Vi have been re-established as a couple) Though IIRC we did see Lightning Lord in the 5YL Legion with his boyfriend, but since that never happened now, though Ayla and Vi still did, which just gets confusing) in Adventure Comics 523 we discover that Legion Academy trainees Gravity Kid and Power Boy appear to be a couple (Yay for Phil Jimenez!)



Not sure what's going on with Tel's sort-of but not quite hairstyle, but it's some nice beefcake right there!

Well, they're trainees, rather than Legionnaires themselves.

Plus we have LIghtning Lass and Shrinking Violet (past and present), the aforementioned Element Lad and Sean Erin (depending on how you view that little situation) and Mekt and his boyfriend, so we have some precedent (also the stated intent, which never materialised on the page, to make Post Zero Hour Legion Invisible Kid gay)

I wasn't certain, so I'm quoting wikipedia on this one until I go box digging.

In Legion of Super-Heroes Annual #3 we meet the reformed Mekt, living peacefully on Winath, accompanied by a man he seemed to be involved with.

The story's writer, Tom Bierbaum, confirmed that they were lovers, though the link to his comment on it seems to be defunct.

Hmm. The Bierbaums are responsible for all the gay relationships in the pre-ZH Legion. I might complain about the handling of them, if I were in the mood (though the only one I really have issue with is Jan/Sean, due to the way the sex change was handled), but, if nothing else, gotta admire their dedication to doing it.
