Interesting point of nerd speculation here: Would this mean that Gabriel doesn't get all the secondary mutations that someone like Quicksilver would? Increased reflexes and perception, lung-strength, eye-fluid viscosity, skeletal resilience, etc...

Does that mean he is actually much younger than he looks? Even if he is using his powers voluntarily now, he was forced to use them non-stop for awhile, and his body must have grown quite a bit while his mind couldn't catch up.

When Hope fixed him, he had a big shaggy mountain-man beard, but I'm not sure how much relative time he spent in his personal timestream. Nobody said he looked older, anyway.
