In the last chapter Legacy broke into the X-Brig in order to find Katherine Pryde and question her about what Pryde saw outside the Force Walls which surround Fortress X.

I didn't get to scan this part but after speaking to Kitty, Legacy ran into another prisoner kept comatose in the X-Brig, a man she'd never met before but somehow she knew his name was Charles Xavier. And she was compelled to borrow his powers. And in doing so caused her to unleash a psychic attack on everyone in Fortress X. At which point she became a enemy to all mutants and General Magneto ordered Danielle Moonstar's team to hunt her down.

At this point Legacy's been running from the AoX New Mutants all night and has only survived this long because earlier she borrowed Anole's stealth and Domino's luck powers. She's made her way to Logan's bar to take a few minutes to lick her wounds.



In the Age of X Alpha anthology issue Logan injected himself with all of the samples of Kavita Rao's mutant cure so that it would never be weaponized and used against mutantkind. The cure completely messed up his metabolism and now if he gets even a little excited his heart will go out, which is why he runs a bar in Fortress X instead of fighting on the front lines to protect it.

Logan and an earlier page imply that in the Age of X universe no one really understands what a telepath is or how they work. They're considered unstable and dangerous, which is why Xavier, Emma Frost, the Stepford Cuckoos, Martha Johansson and Blindfold are all prisoners in the brig.

Reaper has used Anole's stealth to escape the bar and made her way out onto the battlefield. But the AoX New Mutants finally catch up to her.


Reaper took the chance that the ongoing battle against invading human forces would distract the New Mutants long enough for her to slip away again. However she's unable to shake Dust until she gets some help.


And then Magneto crushes both Legacy and Gambit under a ton of metal. Warning all witnesses to cleave to the Brotherhood of X.

Gambit wasn't the only one who to help Legacy,

"But I wouldn't mind a shot at redemption" - Basilisk (which is still a really awesome redesign for Cyclops)

This issue was mostly the New Mutants chasing and fighting Reaper. But still very enjoyable. We're now half way through the Age of X arc and small pieces of the mystery are being revealed slowly. And we saw some of the residents of Fortress X who are clearly not X-men.

Avalanche owns the San Francisco bar where all the mutants hang out, including the kids. He was becoming a semi-regular background character before they moved out to Utopia.
