The entire rosters of the Avengers alpha teams are trying to stop Parker Robbins, the Hood, from reassembling the Infinity Gauntlet.

Their efforts prove amusing.



But as people have been warning him throught the issue, Parker should give up the Infinity Gems before it destroys him.

The Hood manages to escape and capture another gem and frustrate the Avengers and assembled Illuminati.

Parker is about the find out the hard way why you don't go after stuff like the gems.

It tends to summon big bad scary things way out of his league.



Behold Thanos. He is smiling.

They go back and forth. He's been her consort before for good swaths of time, but most of the time we see him onscreen they're fighting. Which sorta makes sense. When he and Lady Death are doing well, he's not going to hang around losers like most Marvel comic protagonists, now is he?

It's all being darkly majestic, and snarking it up at parties with the Endless and cross-dimensional versions of Eternity and whatnot.

I would love to read a comic about that. I wonder what they gossip about...

There was a story in Endless Nights like that, where Dream and his family went to a party with the anthropomorphic aspects of a bunch of Stars and Galaxies. It was pretty great.

Yeah.

Dream had been enamored with a young sorceress from the planet Krypton, but the spirit of the star ( Rao ) managed to woo her away and bond with her, being the forebears of the Kryptonians who absorb sunlight for power.

Scorned and hurt, Dream turned to the weakest star attending the festivities, Sol with-the-nine-worlds, and chose him as his host/homeplanet to reside by.
