I just love her costume... not sure why, but I don't care, it's so pretty!

true, and i'm no fan of their costumes either, but why make something out of light(with the danger of them disappearing once she gets knocked out) that you can buy far more easily and which does not require permanent attention(if that is the case) and energy(if that is the case)?

Assuming that items she creates dissolve when she loses consciousness, it seems to work fine for Green Lanterns for example.

And I like that it appears to be a costume that combines a certain degree of freedom and flexibility, with traditional Indian clothing ethos (The tunic looks quite a lot like the sort of top some women wear under their sari)

I don't get how Green Lanterns costume works anyway. Sometimes it disappears once the ring is out of charge, sometimes it doesn't. So...no idea.

I like my superheroes wearing actual costumes. Sometimes with a little accessoire like a jacket or coat or something, but not something you would wear any day out on the street.

Fair enough, though I think the whole "glowing sparkling" thing might make it a little bit more than street-clothes.

fair point.
let's hope it doesn't go the way of the Green Lanterns aura when flying, with some artists completely ignoring it.

GL rings have an onboard AI, which would presumambly maintain clothing as well as life support if the GL was KO'd. Solstice presumably does not.

I'm not saying I don't like her costume, I think it looks great. I'm just agreeing that when you have an internal superpower, costumes created by that power may not be the best idea.

You may very well be right, time will tell and all that sort of a thing. At the moment I don't think we know quite enough about how Solstice's power works to make any sort of absolute claim in either direction so I'll be interested to see how it goes too.

If it's mystical/magical, then anything goes, a spell can last without the owner's active involvement, and she'd be mad to have a costume that vanishes when she's unconscious.

But Solstice is seemingly a relaively new hero. Maybe she hasn't been knocked unconcious yet. But you're right, It's definitley a wait and see thing. And I'm with you on being interested on where Solstice's charcter goes.

is it known wether her powers are science or magic based?
