So yeah, it's the End of the Big Epic Battle issue, where the Status Quo Will Never Be the Same!, which in Thor-land means it must be Tuesday. Thor broody Odin snarky Loki snotty World Tree fungi nasty boom de yada boom de yada...look a double page spread oh look another double page spread wow these double page spreads make picking just four pages tough boom de yada boom de yada...

But we do get one cryptic page with a beloved minor character.







I'm finding that rather ominous myself. Thoughts, Thor fans?

Wow, creepy. My Wagers:
1) Kelda does something horrible that saves Bill (because things like this never work out well, invisible voices) and Bill is horrified and leaves Kelda, pretty much crushing her.

2) Kelda does something horrible to save Bill, but Bill is so horrified that he refuses to leave Hel, making everyhting she did for nothing because its not the woman he loved, and shes crushed.

Regardless, whatever happens I can almost guarantee it will make me sad. THis has been my favorite marvel couple in forever, and there is no way this turns out well for them. Or, you know, I could be completely wrong, which would be nice.

Or worst, option 3) new creative team sends previous creative team's beloved creation wandering in the wilderness, never to be heard from again until some other creative team decides to bring her and/or her beloved back.

Motto - I'm a DC girl all the way, and the s_d posts with Bill and Kelda and the Warriors Three adventuring in Broxton got me totally on board the Thor train.

I can think of very little about that entire series that I disliked. Kelda and Bill, Doom being Doom, Thor being awesome, Loki doing his/her thing, Balder being Bright, Warriors Three owning a diner, and then it all came crashing down in a horrible crossover. Talk about disappointing.

That was the first really good, classic, novel writing and stories Ive seen in years. From Marvel, I mean, I dont really follow DC all that much other than through s_d.

IKR? That arc is why I was excited at first to hear JMS was taking over Superman and Wonder Woman over at DC. After the Asgard/Broxton stuff, surely he couldn't possibly make Superman or Wonder Woman's titles sucky, right? I now hang my head in shame.

Thats just it, JMS is like a kid in puberty, phases :]. I also think that he doesn't really understand what fans of Supes and Wondy want out of them, cause as a person who watches mainly marvel, it seemed decent stepping outside the s_d bubble of influence

Ooh, don't forget the classic "Kelda does something to save Bill, damning herself in the process."

In any of the above cases, it sets up Thor's 180-gazillionth jaunt into Hel to save one or both of them. At this point the dude should really just buy a time-share condo down there or something.

Nah, we already had that. Doom ripped her heart out and Bill died anyways.

So, we didnt really have it, but we got halfway there.
