Well, in the first or second issue of B&R he said that he promised not to kill anyone--at the very least, even if he thinks they deserve to die, he's more or less kept that promise.

Maybe? I guess it depends on whether he's a crocodile man or a super-strong human with a very bad skin condition and a taste for human flesh. If it's the former, he's sane for his species (probably) if it's the latter then yes, he is potentially legally insane.

It may just be my monitor, but Joker's skin looks positively blue in that bottom panel of the second posted page.

And that, combined with the green hair and dark orange sleeveless top, somehow makes me think of him as Captain Planet's emo cousin:

I'd assume this being Arkham that cells their are equipped with these as counter escape measures. Or maybe it's usually a knockout gas system that he switched with water. Doesn't seem too much of a stretch either way.

I have to say, I do like Damian's reaction to the filling cells.

"Whoa, hold on there, moral dilemma. This is going to take a second. Good or evil, nature or nurture, what do you think guys?" And meanwhile inmates are freaking out and Joker's mentally counting, "3 alligators, 4 alligators...I can do this forever!"

Oh ho! Yes Mr Grayson, I'm sure running the League of Assassins 24/7 for (theoretically) the rest of eternity IS just a stroll in the park.

I don't know why, because the Al Ghul's blatantly are evil, but it still strikes me as somewhat tacky to just say so like that. Probably because it's framed in such an either/or way, it comes off as rather self-congratulatory - "you could be evil, or you know, like us! We're pretty great, aren't we Alfred? ;D"
