Oh, how I shall miss this series.

It was too fun, too cute and too happy.

Jane is looking for Thor and she calls a friend who in turn calls another friend.



Ha, I miss this Tony, not a bastard, not running things. Just rolling off the bed filled with supermodels and empties to fight supervillains and commies.

Turns out that the reason Thor lost his memories was because some mysterious science dude tried to body-swap with him.

Thor is a prisoner but breaks his shackles and fights the dude's robots. Iron Man shows up, fights Thor briefly then they stop the science-dude. Base blows up and Tony tells Thor to call Jane.








Aww, I like that. No need for a grand ending or battle. Just walking off together, perfect.

seconded. It was all I wanted in a comic book: good writing, good characters, fantastic art. I went out of my way to buy every single issue, being ridiculously excited in the comic store every time.

This series was buckets of fun. My favorite Marvel book in a long time. Why didn't it do better? It was the best Thor book out there!

I haven't read this (yet), but it seems well worth checking out. I miss comics that could be both well-written and fun. It's a shame that mainstream Marvel and DC seem obsessed with making everything darker and more serious while simultaneously tying as many books as possible in with the never-ending parades of mega events. Most of the good books at the big two seem to be out of continuity these days.

I found out it was no more, with the arrival of my second trade ... I was kinda hoping against hope though, ya know?

I wonder if they'd let others pick up, where the original story left off (as in legit comic, *not* fanfic!), but then again, that's just opening the door to utter disaster, ain't it? :-/

I'm really saddened that they canceled this, I really wanted to know what Loki was up to dammit! Oh an by the look of Chris' sketches we were going to have Cap on this too >:(

I don't think he was behind Thor's banishment but he was certainly taking advantage of it.

OMG, T:TMA Cap would have been adorable! Cap is almost too adorable on his but under Samnee? Weapons-grade cute.

I was kinda hoping that it'd be a friendlier Loki who's not an antagonist of Thor.

As he had appeared, he was certainly troublesome, but I also got the idea he and Thor were buds. I like that Loki.

I don't think he's the god of evil Loki but still a trickster.

Loki will always be Thor's antagonist but he can be so without the malice.

Getting Thor trapped on Earth? Screwing with a science-dude? Oh, well! He'll get over it in a century or two.

There were times where it felt like they were trying way too hard to be cute, from what I've read, but overall The Mighty Avenger looked like a really fun comic.

What I don't get is why--

A) This book didn't get it's first trade until it was cancelled--especially odd since...it's freaking Marvel! They pretty much publish the trades the week after the arc is finished.
B) They didn't wait to see if the movie buzz after it came out would help the sales. I get that they'd want Fraction's Mighty Thor (and that first arc sounds awesome--Thor vs. Galactus!) to have a boost like they did with Invincible Iron-Man, but I could see both of them working well to catch other audiences.
