Umm... how did Max get control of Checkmate? Is Checkmate somehow public now? How do Alan Scott, Mr Terrific, hell, Amanda Waller, feel about that?

And would people really trust some self appointed internet non-entity who posts on youtube to become some sort of serious oversight for superheroes?

Well, Waller was overthrown early on in the series. I think Sasha and Mr Terrific were running it. But it STILL doesn't make much sense....

Checkmate that we know and love/fear was undermined by various things Max put into motion throughout this series. It's charter was revoked, and he started his own Checkmate.

From a giant robot horse base, with lots of Omacs.

I love me some Jaime, but I haven't been following this so I'm not sure how they end up 'saving' Diana, especially since she's in her own timeline where she isn't Wonder Woman yet?

The timeline was altered that Wonder Woman is walking around the regular DCU. But some people do remember the original Wonder Woman like some of the JLI, which is why they knew to help protect her.

I'm still saddened at the loss of the old Rocket Red. Gavril is indeed awesome but it's weird how few times Dimitri is brought up.

Or did the whole Odyssey thing wipe that out too?

On the plus side maybe now it won't show up in every other comic.
