Hi ho, 2 pages from Secret Six #33 here. You'll recall that when a preview page was posted showing Catman's reunion with his d-bag of a father in Hell, Papa Blake begged Tom to save him from a mysterious "she" who comes to torture him afresh every day. Betting on who the "she" is was pretty evenly split between Mama Blake and the lioness Papa Blake killed.









In other news, I continue to desire a Catman plushie doll. :D

Actually, the DC hell is nicer and less arbitrary than the traditional Christian Hell it's based on. Here, there are ways to get out of Hell legitimately, even ways for the demons to be redeemed. In the original, it's all torture all the time, forever.

Depends on your Theology, actually. We're not all extremist Fundamentalists.

I'm talking the traditional Hell, established in the Middle Ages and persisting until very recently with little change. Dante and Milton and so forth. A lot of the nicer versions are comparatively recent inventions.

Dante and Milton were poets. Their work is important to Literature, but not genuine Theology. They created the popular fictional image of Hell, yes.

But, the popular fictional image of Asgard in modern times was created by Lee and Kirby. That's not taken into account by worshippers of the Norse Gods.

As for actual Christian Theology, there has never been a consensus on the subject, and never will be.
