Isn't that also true for superheroes, to a degree? I mean, Justice killed a guy and went to prison. Daredevil did what he did and now he's on the run from the law. I remember there being a thing, back when the US government had a stake in the Avengers, were they all had to take EMT training and were considered officers of the law. (They even had parking permits and stuff.) Is that not the case anymore?
