Ok, so I took a closer look. The explaination basically is your playing as a Z list startup copycat villain/vigilante, ala that-guy-with-the-shotgun in Dark Knight Returns. Which...doesn't sound terrible I guess, but then why use the DC liscence at all? it adds nothing to the game or it's aesthetic.

Answer? Money, lots and lots of comic fan money.

It's probably way too early to call anything, but this looks like a cash-in. It may not be a bad game, but it's almost assured not to contribute to the IP or mythos in any meaningful way like Arkham Asylum did.
