The Batcave memorial cases

I happened to be re-reading Batman RIP when the Jason's Hair Controversy hit. Since the issue over what's Canon with Jason was fresh in my mind while reading, the memorial case on the right just jumped out at me.

Then, I noticed the middle one on the left...





Steph got her memorial case after she came back from Africa. Better late than never...

But now, it seems you get one just by stopping wearing a uniform. We know Babs has one. Jason has two. There's Steph's... And Dick's first Robin costume.

So, now, we may assume there are Nightwing and Spoiler memorial cases, plus one for Tim's Robin and Cass's Batgirl.

"Created by" isn't the same as "belonging to." While Levitz's known hostility to Quesada could be a factor, Quesada being the big boss at Marvel shouldn't be a factor. When Jim Shooter was Marvel's Editor in Chief, that didn't keep Levitz and Giffen from drawing on his Legion run when they were on the book.

Ah, thanks for clearing that up, cuz I SERIOUSLY DID NOT KNOW.

I had heard long ago Quesada had something to do with the character and that was something that prevented Jean Paul from being used again but I wasn't aware of all the names or how exactly. Just knew it had something to do with comic book company politics. 9_9

He got plenty used all the way through Cassie Cain Batgirl series and through various recent events from War Games to others!

Even mentioned here and there in the new Az book.

There is a penguin in that case. I am unable to notice anything asides from a penguin being inexplicably in that memorial case.

Have to say, even considering our discussion of the non-canonicity of red-haired Jason, it's actually kind of cool, to see the original Jason 1.0 Robin costume in the case on the right, and it IS a nifty Robin costume.

Dick keeps his old costumes (IIRC We;ve seen them hung up in a closet in his apartment at least once), and Starfire has at least one of the old DiscoWing costumes (Tim found it and was making fun of it, because the writer had completely forgotten that that was what Dick was wearing when Dick and Tim first met.)

as someone who did the girl wonder stuff all i've got is we finally got our freaking case. how long did that campaign take? how many times were we told "no. not happening ever. not in a million years."? to see it on panel makes it really obvious what a small thing we were asking for.
