	From what I've seen, not only do a lot of lesbian subtext (frequently with either Storm or Kitty), but there was also a fairly noticeable bondage element to a lot of those scenes. (Reply to this) (Thread from start) (Parent)

Do a search of the claremont tagged items here, you'll be in for a ride.

Chris was a fan of transformation and corruption, and tons of lesbian subtext. The first foes he put up against Excalibur where Technet (half of whom had transforming powers, and he including several new members who also had transformation powers.) He's the guy who made Karma become possessed by Shadow King (during which she also became incredibly fat), and he was one of the writers for the Inferno X event (nuff said.)

Hell, I think someone once posted about all the evil female characters who took an interest in Kitty Pryde during Claremonts run.

There was also an early Daughters of the Dragon black-and-white story (early as in during the original run of Iron Fist's book, before he met Luke Cage) that I could have sworn I'd seen on one of the s_d incarnations, in which one of them had started to be turned to vampirism and the other helped bring her back, that had tons of subtext. John Byrne later said in an interview that Claremont had "ruined" Colleen Wing for him by saying that she was bisexual, not in canon but just between the two of them; that was one of the things that led fans to believe that Byrne had a homophobia problem, which to his credit he later tried to work against with characters like Maggie Sawyer.

She's a very fun writer who's very aware of the genre. She had a thing going with Daken and Gambit where you could SEE the sexual tension. I'm also pretty sure she used to write slash fan-fiction.
She's never outright said it, but I don't think you need to squint to see it.

If even I can see the slash, then it must be pretty obvious.

	I think she used to run the Wolverine and Jubilee fanfic site. It had a lot of different fics that ranged from relationship dramas to character pieces. They also had Sabretooth and Gambit pages as well. As far as I remember, Liu shut it down once she got into pro-fic and couldn't really afford the association any more.
