Dark Beast plays an integral role, as does Holocaust -- but not the Holocaust you know, someone very different. Sugar Man and Nate Grey are currently involved in their own shenanigans.

That doesn't sound like an alternate version of the same character but like it's someone else we probably know having taken that identity. Interesting. Wonder from which universe that person comes from though. If it was 616 I could see it being Sunfire or someone with messed up energy powers.
