Very well, S_D I'll post this and Cass's Chinese Adventure before going into Beechen's grand magnum opus Batgirl mini. THEN WORLD DOMINATION SHALL BE MINE!! *hears the news of DC making more fans even more insane and thus dominate the world* Oh poopie.

For more bad news, no I won't be posting her nude little walk in #3 (I posted that awhile ago for gratuitous butt shot week), though I noticed in the trade collecting that first run the actual shading trying to cover Cass's naughty spots are um.. not as well highlighted. Hmm.. no that would benefit humanity, I'm looking to control it!

So onto #4, it starts out with Ollie trying to kill Cass for her being once part of an evil organization that tried killing his girlfriend and steal her adopted daughter. Batman and Katana break up the attack (Cass really does nothing but stand there). They then divide up in reaching their destination (a launch site that has a connection to Brother Eye and O.M.A.C.s).







The next issue had a nice Cass owning moment taking out a merc, and helping her teammates take down Guy Gardner's evil brother. When I post next the other adventure Cass had with the Outsiders under Dixon. I'm musing if I should post the Tieri stuff that was pretty much a Cass mini (I think it was #12-14). Though if I do that it'll be after the Beechen mini. Since it takes place chronologically after the mini.

I don't know why it is, but any attempt to make Ollie some sort of badass martial artist as well as an archer just never works for me (and yet it worked fine with Connor for some reason).

A good street fighter, absolutely, a brawler even, sure, but Ollie going toe to toe with Cass Cain for longer than it would take her to sneeze? Nope, just can't visualise it seriously.

Probably because in Connor's case it was part of the character from the beginning, whereas with Ollie it's inevitably something grafted on like, a decade into his superheroing career.

It's the kind of scene that wouldn't probably have bugged me if it were balanced out by really great Cass writing elsewhere, but coming off the heels of all of the Beechen shit it's just, ugh.

Anyway hopefully she'll get raptured up into retcon heaven (the Batmannium, lol) by DC's big stupid reboot and then I can just forget any of this ever happened at all.

This was like that (notorious) time Deathstroke was beating the snot out of the Justice League and Ollie (of all people) walks up and belts him. Green Arrow isn't that good! Stop trying to make him awesome.
