Well, Mother's Day was last time...



Though very few of them are actually genetically parents, superheroes have long since taught us that fatherhood and biology are by no means always the same thing!



Whilst it's all adorable of course, I think it's Aquaman cuddling baby Arthur Jr that breaks my heart. ;;

And you know, I feel bad for not knowing my DC families well enough now. How many of them are actually fathers, by way of DNA or adoption? I can only think of Bats and Supes (DNA does count...), but I suppose Aquaman is too. Is it just those three?

Barry and Iris hung out in the future for a while and had twins, Don and Dawn Allen, AKA the Tornado Twins. When they grew up after Barry went back to die in COIE, Don fathered Bart with Meloni Thawne. Bart was born with superspeed aging, so Iris sent him back in time so that Wally could fix him.

Also, Barry and Iris should not be allowed to name children. Seriously, naming your twin children Don and Dawn? Those poor kids.

Thanks! I just discovered Kamen Rider recently and I'm still in the "what is this wonderful thing I must find find as much as I can" stage one goes through when discovering something they like, and My Icon tends to change to reflect whatever my current fan obsession is.

Same~. I kinda kept up with it for a few years, but only actually started it last year (I just finished Den-O like earlier this year and am officially starting OOO).

It's from Michiko to Hatchin. From the same studio that did Samurai Champloo and is a lot like it, but it takes place in fictional (modern) South America.

Perhaps they were named in honour of the first two Dove's from "Hawk and Dove"; Don Hall and Dawn Grainger.

Genetically/by actual family?

Terry is Bruce's son

Koryak and Arthur Jr are Aquaman's sons.

Wally is Barry's nephew by marriage

Bart is Barry's grandson.

Conner is Kal's genetic offspring.

Connor and his son by Shado (whose name I forget) are Ollies sons.

Lian was Roy's daughter (but we won't go there)

Thunder and Lightning are the daughters of Black Lightning

Donna is Diana's magically created sister.

By adoption

Dick, Jason, Tim were adopted by Bruce (as was Cass, but she's not part of the Batman and Son's family)

Chris was sort of adopted by Clark and Lois

Roy was Ollies ward (but never adopted)

Probably forgetting a great many in both camps.

No, Barry's two children, twins called Don and Dawn (sometimes known as the Tornado Twins), died fighting the Dominators in the 30th century. Don's son is Bart Allen, Dawn's daughter is Jenni Ognatz, also known as XS of the Legion. (Bart's mother and Dawn's father are still alive)

Damian and the assorted Batgirls arent part of Bruce's family in "Batman and Sons" verse (and I'd probably only count Cass in that role since Babs and Steph weren't adopted and never looked to him as a father figure.

It's probably a good thing for Tim that Damien hasn't shown up in the Black Cat-verse. He gets enough grief from Terry.

He was mentioned in one of the early strips. Bruce says Talia can't prove it's his. This was back when everyone hated him so no one really complained.

Indeed, though I don't think I can see Damian fitting into the family dynamic that works so well in "Batman and Sons", we have loyal son, rebellious son, son craving affection and cute baby son. I don't think Arrogant/Spoiled son would add enough entertainment to the mix to make it worthwhile long term, though I can imagine Talia coming by for a visit with Damian in tow could make for a fun one-off, especially if Timmy is told to make friends with the little monster.

Barry was never really a father to the Tornado Twins (other than in the sense of biological contribution and inspiration), he died before they were born (IRRC), ditto XS as she remained in the future.
