Writers Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning offer a few details with some teasers.

"A desperate and vital mission brings the Annihilators to Earth, and what generates the conflict with Earth’s Mightiest Heroes is basically the clash of jurisdiction, and the incompatible interests of both teams; what’s good for Earth might not be good for the Galaxy—and vice versa!" said Abnett.

Regarding the new Rocket and Groot, Lanning offered up the following, “They get their own TV show and blow the flark out of stuff,” stated Lanning. “You know: the usual, but bigger and better and crazier!”

There's no way the Avengers can take on the Annihilators, especially since the team is composed of people with power levels that rival those of Thor.

At the most the smart people like Tony and Reed will be able to get into their computers and cause shit but people like Luke cage or Wolverine won't do that much.

Also there is no way Thor and Bill will fight each other after the whole Surtur thing and them being BFF, no fricking way.

Oh god, pass.

I made the mistake of picking up the first three issues of Annihilators to get caught up on what Beta Ray Bill was up to lately, and the art was horrifying. Silver Surfer with earsand a vulture nose (looked like Mr. Burns with spray paint all over him), Bill with nostrils (looked like he had a pig's snout), Stormbreaker was drawn like a croquet mallet or something. DNA did a decent enough job, but Huat will never get my money again.

I'm willing to let the weird-looking uniforms slide. Artistic liberties and all that. But take two seconds and research the basic physical features of the main characters and we'll talk...
